The Development Proposal
The two links below show the plans as they have been submitted. They clearly show the scale of development which increases the size of our village be a third. They are also proposing the car parking and 8 houses on agricultural land despite all the land available on the Dairy site.
It proposes 6 social homes plus 36 private houses (developer sales estimates). £995,000 (1); £450,000 (1); £365,000 (1); £350,000 (3); £325,000 (6); £315,000 (3); £300,000 (1); £280,000 (9); £200,000 (3) and £185,000 (8).
He is also planning to convert two small barns for employment use and a field opposite for a playing field, car park, allotments and children’s playground. These facilities were not requested by the majority of village people.
The development requires a new open drainage system to cope with flood risk and will of course bring urban roads, lighting and considerable extra traffic via the narrow lane beside the Olde Cheese Shop.
